Boots and Suits Gala raises over $65,000 for scholarships, testing centers and softball and recognizes the 2018 Pillars of the Community

The 13th annual Hill College Boots and Suits Gala was held April 20 at the Cleburne Conference Center and raised over $65,000 to benefit Hill College district-wide scholarships for students, testing centers and softball.

Nearly 350 guests from the Hill College service area were in attendance and enjoyed hors d’oeuvres by the Cleburne ISD culinary department, a dinner catered by Flores BBQ, bar service by West End Grill, live and silent auctions and entertainment provided by Frankly Country. 

The live auction items included: a round of golf for four at TPC Four Seasons, a two hour captained charter sail on Lake Travis for up to six people with Outbound Sailing, a free range whitetail deer hunt at Cross J Ranch, a half-day guided fishing trip for four on Lake Whitney with Reel Deal Striper Guide Service and named scholarships. 

The Silver sponsors included: Citizens State Bank, Great Western Dining, Liberty Hotel and Mustang Foundation.

The 2018 Pillar of the Community awards were presented to Will and Betty Lowrance of Hillsboro, Howard Dudley of Cleburne and Lorri Dyess of Burleson. The Pillar of the Community awards recognize individuals and organizations who have helped build and sustain higher education efforts in the Hill College district, and supported the growth of the College.

The 14th annual Boots and Suits Gala has been scheduled for Friday, April 26, 2019.
